Harshit Sharma began his entrepreneurial journey during the first year of college by founding Examopedia, a platform focused on providing academic content for semester examinations. This early experience introduced him to the challenges students face while searching for reliable, organised, and useful study material.
From Examopedia to a larger vision
While studying Political Science at Banaras Hindu University, Harshit continued exploring how digital platforms could make academic preparation more accessible. His experience with Examopedia laid the foundation for a much broader educational initiative.
The problem that inspired The Book Notes
During his third year of college, in 2023, Harshit searched online for notes on O. P. Gauba’s Political Theory. When he could not find the kind of detailed and useful chapter-wise material he needed, he decided to create it himself. That decision became the starting point of The Book Notes.

The beginning of college

Harshit began his graduation in Political Science at Banaras Hindu University. His academic environment and personal experience as a student shaped his understanding of the gaps in existing study resources.

In his first year of college, Harshit founded Examopedia to provide students with useful academic content for their semester examinations. The initiative became his first practical experience in building an education-focused platform.

From a personal search to a larger mission
In his third year, Harshit searched the internet for notes on O. P. Gauba’s Political Theory but could not find the detailed, chapter-wise material he was looking for. Instead of treating the problem as a limitation, he decided to solve it himself. He began working on a platform that would provide important books in an organised and accessible notes format.
Expansion into competitive examinations
UGC NET & CUET PG
As The Book Notes developed, Harshit noticed a growing demand for structured resources for competitive examinations. The platform gradually expanded beyond university-level book notes to include courses and study materials for examinations such as UGC NET and CUET PG.
Establishing the parent company
Notex Edtech Services LLP
In 2024, Harshit formally established Notex Edtech Services LLP as the parent company for his educational and content-related initiatives. This provided a structured foundation for managing and expanding his work.
